2011 Spirit of Fiesta - Marisa Leon Haro

Marisa won the title of Spirit of Fiesta by competing among 10 other dancers on April 19th at La Cumbre Junior High School. She has been a long time participant in Old Spanish Days, performing at both Mercado De la Guerra and Del Norte along with Noches de Ronda at the Santa Barbara County Courthouse.
Marisa just graduated high school where she had many accomplishments such as, ASB Vice President, Spanish Club Vice President, Academic Honors and All League Academic Award for Varsity Soccer. She also enjoys playing club soccer, being a youth minister, and studying all forms of dance.
Marisa’s passion for Fiesta goes beyond just performing. She wants to be a role model for younger children and show them, with hard work and dedication, you can accomplish anything.

2011 Junior Spirit of Fiesta - Anais Crespo Pena

Our Junior Spirit, Anais, was chosen among 10 performers at our annual Spirit Auditions. image Anais, attends St. Raphael School where she excels in Math, Language Arts, and Literature. She raises money for charities as part of her community service and has been awarded Most School Spirit twice in row.
Anais, has a passion for flamenco and has been performing for several years at Fiesta. She comes from a history of flamenco dancers, as her mother was Junior Spirit of Fiesta in 1971.
