The official Fiesta Poster and Pin for 2013 was unveiled at the La Primavera event held at the Carriage and Western Art Museum on Sunday, May 19th. Over 300 guests attended the event which included dinner, dancing and a live auction. Artist Lorna Dillon was commissioned to create the original artwork which depicts locals Si & Karen Jenkins riding in the historical Fiesta parade. This years theme is Vaqueros y Vaqueras (Cowboys & Cowgirls).
The Pin is in the shape of a belt buckle, which is adorned by the Fiesta crest and keeps in line with this years theme.

Our 2013 Spirit of Fiesta Auditions were held on Saturday, April 20th at La Cumbre Junior High. Twenty-two participants auditioned for the title Spirit and Junior Spirit of Fiesta.
Congratulations to Corrie Jimenez who was named 2013 Spirit of Fiesta and to Kailani Cordero who was crowned 2013 Junior Spirit of Fiesta. We would also like to congratulate Alexandra Freres for being chosen Spirit Runner-Up and to Sophia Cordero as Junior Spirit Runner-Up.
Congratulations and a job well done by all the participants. It was a beautiful show. If you missed it, you may catch it on COX 8 at 12noon, Monday through Friday from April 22nd to May 3rd.
