Erin Graffy de Garcia
A board member of Old Spanish Days for twenty years, Erin Graffy de Garcia has been involved with a wide variety of Fiesta committees, and served two years as Treasurer for Old Spanish Days. With a background in marketing, Erin launched both the public relations and strategic planning committees, initiated a corporate sponsorships program, and produced the two year-study Old Spanish Days Economic and Community Impacts Report.
Currently the Fiesta Historian, Erin created Fiesta's Flor Y Canto - a narrated program of the original Spanish California songs and dances from our nineteenth century community life. Her interest in Santa Barbara history extends to serving as editor for La Gazeta, of the Mission Archive-Library where she is Trustee. She has authored numerous articles on local history as well as written and edited several books on regional history, including Saint Barbara: Santa Barbara's Patron Saint, Mission Santa Inês, Remembering Jordanos, and Our Lady of Sorrows. The president of a marketing communications firm, Erin is active with the Santa Barbara Historical Society, and on advisory boards for The Santa Barbara Maritime Museum, and the Pierre Claeyssens Veteran's Museum.
